Bloodroot Flower
Bloodroot flowers bloom 2 or 3 days if you're lucky. This one had just opened earlier that day. I love the way the leaves wrap the entire plant until they open.
Herbally speaking, bloodroot is good as a natural topical antibiotic. It grows in the woods, usually under heavy shade and in damper places.
