Purple Cone Flower with Bees, Summer 1998
We have the fortune of having a bumblebee nest in the yard. They live under the back stairs and have never bothered us. I get pretty close to them in the garden and have had no problems. They are mellow and they pollinate wonderfully. They also love my coneflowers. I have counted 30 bees around my coneflowers at any given time.
