Roman Forum

Looking out over the Forum. The Colosseum is in the background (middle). To the left is the Temple of Antoninus and Faustina (with the white pillars). The 3 white columns to the middle-left is the remainder of the Temple of Vesta. The road running down the middle of the picture is the same road Julius Caesar had walked on (much of which was covered with modern gravel). It's hard to imagine how amazing the forum must have looked when it was first built.
