Sandbar in Lake Superior, Fall 1999
I walked all the way out onto this sandbar as many people apparently had done. Although this is a beautiful formation in the lake, this sandbar is further visual evidence that the lake's water level is low. When I traveled to Michigan in the fall of 2001, the sandbar was even more pronounced and there were additional sandbars, indicating an even lower water level.
