Lake Superior Shoreline, October 2001
I spent several hours walking along the shoreline here - yes, barefoot in October. This is my favorite area of the Upper Pennisula (about 30 minutes west of Sault St. Marie) because it has always been so secluded when I've been there. This photo was taken in mid morning, but the shadows were long as the Upper Pennisula is "far north" - from an Ohioan's perspective, anyhow.
