Each page in this section is a collection of photographs from different
places. There are two pages: one is text only and will download
quickly, the other is the same page with thumbnails of all the photographs.
It goes without saying that most full size photographs are very
large graphics. Please be patient as they download.
Please see Terms of Use before using any
of these images.

Photography Story
In 1988 I graduated from The Ohio Institute of Photography in Dayton,
Ohio with a diploma in Commercial Photography. Instead of putting
what I'd learned to good use, I instead embarked on a career in
computers that would prove more financially stable.
My love of taking pictures has never diminished, though, and the
years in school were not without merit. I now use what I learned
in school to do photography for several of the sites I've worked
on. The school also gave me an understanding of light and composition
that have proved valuable.
Over the last fourteen years I've traveled extensively across the
United States and have had found many wonderful photo opportunities.
I prefer to photograph nature, landscapes, and buildings as opposed
to people. I'm particularly fond of photographing plants and flowers
that grow at my Columbus home.
During spring of 2001 I had the fortune to visit Rome, Italy and
shot sixteen rolls of film in eight days. I was fascinated with
the architecture, churches, and people of the city. Since this was
my first trip outside the United States, everything was occasion
for a photo. I hope to return to Italy someday and photograph some
of the beautiful countryside I saw while the plane was landing.

Equipment
I use an Olympus Stylus 500 5.0 megapixel digital camera almost
exclusively now. It is much better than my former Fuji camera and
has a large viewing area that makes photography much easier.
I still use my 25+ year-old 35mm Minolta camera with a standard
50mm lens with 400 speed Fuji film. There are some things 35mm cameras
can do that digital cannot. Mainly I like it because I have control
over the depth of field and exposure in photos..
Some photos on this site were taken with my earlier owned Fuji
Finepix 2100 digital camera, which is now the property of a good
friend.
